KISIMA NDEGA -
KARATU
The camp is located
on the eastern shore of Lake Eyasi. It's about 3
½ hours drive from Arusha or a couple of hours

example of a well-run, owner-operated camp. It's
set in the shade of a grove of doum palms, on
the eastern shore of Lake Eyasi, with
magnificent views across the soda lake to the
3000 ft escarpment on the other side. To the
north are the Ngorongoro Highlands with Lemagrut
and Ol Deani mountains (both extinct volcanoes
and close to 10,000 ft) in the foreground.
Scenically, this area is stunning. |
