ZANZIBAR

Zanzibar is a tourist paradise that lies in the Indian Ocean, 6 degrees south of the Equator and just over 20 miles from the mainland.

The different races that have settled in Zanzibar over the centuries have left their impact on the people and the architecture, including the-4House of Wonders: once the palace of the Sultan. The remains of Maruhubi, the prisoners island and the stone town with its narrow streets are only a few of the vivid attractions.

PEMBA

Pemba is a refuge for the frazzled traveler. It is an island caught in the past. There is such a lack of infrastructure, let alone any tourism on the island, you will wonder how the economy works. But it does, and as long as you can handle "island speed" when ordering a drink, exotic tastes instead of traditional hotel meals, empty beaches instead of buzzing beach bars , traditional village culture rather than shops and museums, proud and friendly people who are in no hurry to sell you anything, and long boat rides over blue water, you might have just stumbled on one of those rare gems few people ever get to see.

MAFIA ISLAND

Mafia Island, only 45 minutes flight south of Dar es Salaam, is one of the most exciting biggame fishing and diving locations in the world. Expanses of virtually unfinished water offer a keen challenge to the fishermen. They abound with a rich variety of fish of tremendous size and weight, many of them greater fighters.

Mafia Island provides a bar from which the fishermen many explore the best potential fishing along the Indian Ocean sheaf and around the many small islands of the area.

Big game fish caught off Mafia Island include marlin, saw fish, shark tunny, (some of biggest landed along the east African costs) king fish, barracuda, red shapper, rock cod, dolphin, horse mackerel, wahoo five fingered jack and fimbo.

Fishing is possible all  year round inside the reef and channel.
